Vision Care Plans
Vision plans cover routine eye exams as well as eyeglasses or contact lenses. They may also include a basic screening for eye diseases. Vision plans are designed for wellness — they do not cover the diagnosis, management, or treatment of eye diseases or injuries. Common vision plans include VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision, and many others.
Medical Insurance
Medical insurance applies when your doctor is diagnosing, managing, or treating an eye disease or injury — conditions like dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, infections, or trauma. If you have both vision and medical insurance, we will coordinate benefits to minimize your out-of-pocket costs. In some cases this may require a separate appointment.
Have both? We’ll coordinate them for you.
It’s common for patients to carry both a vision plan and medical insurance. When that’s the case, we handle the coordination — billing the right plan for the right services — to keep your costs as low as possible and your care as seamless as possible.
